The original balustrade in this client's house was very basic. Over the years, the paint had become soft from
skin oils and had become dirty in appearance despite the owner's best efforts to clean it. Fresh paint would not
adhere to the original paint. The base of the stairway was in the front entry way. The appearance of the balustrade
created a negative initial impression of the house to anyone entering.

After reviewing several options with the owner it was decided to completely replace the original balustrade with
a new oak system. The oak was given a clear Teak Oil finish to give the wood a warm sheen without obscuring the grain.
